CAN is a serial bus protocol to connect individual systems and sensors of a vehicle. The communication is coded by a protocol owned by each car manufacturer. The identification procedure allows to detect and acquire in real time the digital signals of on-board sensors for testing purposes (steering angle, throttle position, brake pedal pressure, wheels speeds, etc.).
